What we collect

Nothing that identifies you.

TAOGuide does not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, location, or any other personal information. There is no account system, no sign-up, and no login. We do not run analytics on how you use the app.

Your wallet address

If you use the Portfolio feature and enter a Bittensor wallet address, that address is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. It is never sent to TAOGuide servers. We do not see it, store it, or log it.

The app uses your wallet address to query public blockchain data directly — the same information that is visible to anyone on the Bittensor network. Reading your balance and subnet holdings is a read-only action. TAOGuide cannot move funds, sign transactions, or interact with your wallet in any other way.

Third-party services

TAOGuide displays data fetched from several external APIs. These services operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review if you have concerns:

• Binance — live TAO price data
• CoinGecko — market cap and broader market data
• Taostats — subnet data and network statistics
• YouTube — embedded video content from Bittensor creators

When the app fetches data from these services, your device makes a standard network request. TAOGuide does not pass any personal information to these providers on your behalf.

Public blockchain data

All on-chain data displayed in TAOGuide — subnet prices, stake flows, wallet balances — is publicly available on the Bittensor network. TAOGuide reads this data but does not store, transmit, or sell any of it.

Analytics and tracking

We do not use analytics tools, crash reporters that include personal identifiers, ad networks, or any third-party tracking SDKs. We do not track your in-app behavior, session duration, or which features you use.

Children

TAOGuide is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app in some way, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this page and revise the effective date at the top. Because we collect no personal data, changes are unlikely to affect you in any material way. We will not retroactively apply new data practices to information we do not have.
